How to take screenshot on Laptop


Different laptop companies have different methods for screenshots for different models but laptops with Windows Operating System, These two are the best methods for  screenshots.

  1. Print Screen Button Method

  2. Snipping Tool Method


Print Screen Button Method 

Screenshots can be done by various ways but with Print Screen button things get a lot quicker and saves time. But sometimes we completely ignore this button which is in our keyboard. Check on your keyboard either you have this button or not ?

If you have a button with PrtSc or PrtScn this button will allow you to capture your entire desktop screen.

Follow these steps to turn that floating screengrab into an image file you can save.


Step 1:- Press the Windows key and Print Screen at the same time to capture the entire screen. Your screen will dim for a moment to indicate a successful snapshot.

Step 2:- Open an image editing program (Microsoft Paint, GIMP, Photoshop, and PaintShop Pro will all work).


Step 3:- Open a new image and press CTRL + V to paste the screenshot. You can also right-click and press Paste.
Step 4:- Save the file as a JPG or PNG and place it into an easily accessible folder for quick sharing.

Snipping Tool Method 

Snipping tool is a preinstalled tool for screenshot in your system which allows its user to capture screen quickie in a couple of steps with simple editing features like text writing, crop and scale etc. This tool will provide a custom screenshot which allows only selected area to be captured and with some editing option, then the image is ready to be saved in your system whereas as earlier method it give you full authority which part you want to capture or not rather than full screenshot.

Step 1:- Press the Windows key + Shift + S at the same time.


Step 2:- Move the cross hair to where you want to screenshot and then drag mouse which area you want to screenshot.

Note: Screen within the square box is only screenshot so select wisely and press Esc to cancel it.

Step 3:- Your screen is captured Now a notification will pop up at right lower hand on your desktop.


Step 4:- Click on Notification, you can edit it and Save your Screenshot by giving a file name.
